MEFE Lab Yonsei University Graduate Student Recruitment 2027
Microbiome Ecology & Functional Engineering Lab, Department of Systems Biology, Yonsei University
Recruitment Overview
Dr. Kiseok Lee is recruiting the first members for the MEFE Lab (Microbiome Ecology & Functional Engineering) at Yonsei University, Department of Systems Biology, Seoul, Korea.
The lab will open in March 2027, and the recruitment process is beginning now during September-October 2026.
About The Lab
The MEFE Lab will study how microbiomes maintain their functions in changing environments and use these principles to design robust microbiome functions.
The research will combine:
- Microbial ecology
- Modeling
- Artificial intelligence
- Synthetic biology
These approaches will be used to understand, design, and engineer robust microbiome functions for applications in women’s health, especially the vaginal microbiome, and environmental systems, including soil greenhouse gas emissions.
More details are available on the lab website:
Open Positions
Dr. Lee is currently building a talent pool and collecting CVs for:
